Magnetic vs Electronic Ballast – What You Need to Know

If your current fluorescent tube setup has a starter, you likely have a magnetic ballast fitting. This means you can easily replace the tube yourself – no electrician required! Just switch off power, remove the old tube and starter, and install the LED tube and the LED starter (supplied).

For electronic ballast fittings (no starter), rewiring is required and should be done by a qualified electrician. Our 1.2m LED tubes are single-ended and designed for maximum safety in NZ installations.
